Collect an animal at risk
If you found an abandoned animal, you should contact the Official Collection Center (CRO) of the municipality where the animal is located.

CROs have the legal responsibility to collect, provide medical and veterinary care, deworm, sterilize, house and feed the animal until it is adopted.
As SOS Animal does not have a rescue team or a shelter for abandoned animals, we ask that you follow the following steps:
Taking into account the animal's location, send an email as quickly as possible with the case description, exact address and attach images/videos to the following contacts, all at the same time:

After making contact by e-mail, please proceed by telephone, informing that you have sent an e-mail to all the entities above. Demand immediate action:

If the animal is in need of veterinary assistance, do not leave it in agony!
Go to the nearest veterinary clinic or hospital and ask for help. Note that these are private entities: if you do not have the financial resources to pay the expenses, there are ways to do so, requiring persistence and courage: publicize and collect funds on social media and from friends, colleagues and family.
Be sure to complete Step 1, which is proof of how you have contacted all entities with legal authority to provide assistance!
Don't give up: you may be the only hope to save this animal's life!
