A SOS Animal adquiriu em 2020 um terreno com cerca de 27 hectares no concelho de Santarém onde deu início a um novo projeto pioneiro em Portugal: um santuário animal e vegetal que dá abrigo a várias espécies proporcionando-lhes todo o bem-estar possível e uma vida com respeito e dignidade.

What is our objective?

In addition to this project aiming to provide a safe shelter for several species of
animals, our objective is to reforest the space and restore the ecosystem with species
of native trees and shrubs, in order to promote the biodiversity of local flora and fauna.

Learn how you can have a positive impact by participating in activities and gain insights into what is involved in volunteering.

  • Cleaning and removing invasive species from property water lines
  • Bed treatment
  • Treatment of support structures for leisure areas
  • Removal of old plastic remains, existing before purchasing the property
  • Gutter cleaning
  • Bush cleaning
  • If you have knowledge, electrical and plumbing work
  • Repairs and painting of property walls or other buildings
  • Construction of environmental enrichment structures for resident animals

What does volunteering cover?

Included

  • Staff monitoring
  • Material needed for the work (depends on the work)
  • Access to dining area (cooking is not possible) and bathroom

Not included

  • Clothing
  • Some activities are only possible to carry out if the group is able to provide the necessary material for the same.
  • Food

As ações de

de 200€ (meio dia) ou
400€ (dia inteiro).

Payment for shares must be made up to one week before the date of the shares.
